Auto Repair in Fremont

Wow, thats all I have to say about customer service! I called Rick to see if he could checkout a car I was thinking about buying. He said bring it in later that afternoon even though he had a busy day already planned out. He thoroughly inspected the car - took it on a test run with us and put it on the rack. He pointed out some things that should be taken into consideration before making the purchase. We were set on buying that car but after his assessment we decided against it and are very happy that we didn't. His inspection saved us a lot of grief and $$!! We highly recommend his shop! I had an oil leak in my 95 Buick Roadmaster and the team at Dorso's went above and beyond to find and repair the leak. During the repair they determined that a radiator shop had damaged a seal when replacing a water pump and they even handled getting them to correct that as well. I have dealt with Dorso's for many years and have always been satisfied.

Rick is a great mechanic to know. I have used him since 2005 to work on my Chevrolet Avalance and Malibu. Rick is fair and consistent. If he recommends the work, I trust it is necessary and will get done right. He doesnt leave me w/ the doubts and concerns that I get when i visit Fremont Chevy.

When I go to the dealership for things like an oil change and they find some problem. I take my car to Dorso's for a second opinion because I trust them completely to be honest. If the work needs to be done, I let them do it because I know it will be done right the first time and the cost is much better than the dealer.

It was very easy to make an appointment. Everyone is always so friendly. The shop was ready for my car's appointment. When I needed a service you did not provide (tires), you gave a reference to a very reputable business with which I dealt with before. The best part was the total cost of the service done to my car - it was VERY low!

The $150 fee charged (mentioned in someone's review) is what most car mechanics (sears charges more) will charge if you tow in a car (or if you're getting an inspection) and nobody knows what's wrong with it. If, instead, you come with a specific problem, you're not going to be charged $150. I love Dorso's automotive becaue the work they do is impeccable, the facility is cleaner than a hospital, and the operator (Rick?) is very precise and clear with his explanations. Like warm fuzzy peaches :)

My familiy has been taking our vechicles over to Dorso's for about fiffteen years now. Rick the owner and chief operator is a really cool guy who's not out to just make a buck. He really cares about your car and he and his assisstant Tom will explain every last detail of repairs and costs. As long as I live in Fremont Dorso's will be the ONLY place I take my car for service. Excellent service and trustworthy mechanics.
