Rick is a great mechanic to know. I have used him since 2005 to work on my Chevrolet Avalance and Malibu. Rick is fair and consistent. If he recommends the work, I trust it is necessary and will get done right. He doesnt leave me w/ the doubts and concerns that I get when i visit Fremont Chevy.

When I go to the dealership for things like an oil change and they find some problem. I take my car to Dorso's for a second opinion because I trust them completely to be honest. If the work needs to be done, I let them do it because I know it will be done right the first time and the cost is much better than the dealer.

It was very easy to make an appointment. Everyone is always so friendly. The shop was ready for my car's appointment. When I needed a service you did not provide (tires), you gave a reference to a very reputable business with which I dealt with before. The best part was the total cost of the service done to my car - it was VERY low!

The service at this repair shop is far above average. The owner always remembers me and what is going on with my car. They are always available and, most importantly, always honest - which I appreciate the most I think.

For 21 years, since 1989, we have been taking our cars for service to Dorso's Automotive. Dorso' provides a high quality of service. Very honest, trustworthy & friendly employees. Provides great references to other automotive services when needed. Coordinates well with other outside mechanics & parts providers when needed. Keeps you well informed as to when work on car will be completed. Always provides cost estimate before they begin working on your car. We have recommended Dorso's to friends and neighbors. We have been able to keep our cars as long as possible, over 110,000+ miles, thanks to the help and service from Dorso's.

The $150 fee charged (mentioned in someone's review) is what most car mechanics (sears charges more) will charge if you tow in a car (or if you're getting an inspection) and nobody knows what's wrong with it. If, instead, you come with a specific problem, you're not going to be charged $150. I love Dorso's automotive becaue the work they do is impeccable, the facility is cleaner than a hospital, and the operator (Rick?) is very precise and clear with his explanations. Like warm fuzzy peaches :)

My familiy has been taking our vechicles over to Dorso's for about fiffteen years now. Rick the owner and chief operator is a really cool guy who's not out to just make a buck. He really cares about your car and he and his assisstant Tom will explain every last detail of repairs and costs. As long as I live in Fremont Dorso's will be the ONLY place I take my car for service. Excellent service and trustworthy mechanics.

The other day my Durango's check engine light came on and I knew I had to get it to the shop. Unfortunately my factory warranty had just ran out and I knew there was no way I was going to take my car to the dealer and pay their crazy prices. I did a quick search on Yelp for automotive repair in Fremont and found Dorsos. I called and they were able to fit me in same day to see what the check engine light was. They let me know upfront that it was $150 for them to diagnose the problem. They called me after looking over the entire care and found the problem and also informed me that my rear brakes were in need of immediate repair (that would explain my mushy braking). They let me know the prices on everything and I had them go ahead and fix everything. The best thing was that the staff was kind, friendly and quick......unlike most dealer shops. I will be taking my car to Dorsos for future repairs and would highly recommend them.

I was charged $150 to examine my vehicle before I received an estimate .. It surprised me.
